I just got back on the best break of my life on a Turkey holiday. This classy yet relaxing week away not only educated me about Turkey’s history but also allowed me to see lots of culture including sampling the local food and going to a variety of museums and art galleries. My favourite part about Istanbul, however, was the masses of evening entertainment from traditional Turkish dance to operas and ballet, which was the height of sophistication. Their bars also had some of the most unusual yet delicious cocktails, and I think next time I’ll take my fiance on a romantic retreat abroad.
